Custom homes are the longest commitment we take on. Twelve to eighteen months of design, permitting, and construction. The relationship with the homeowner has to be the right one or it doesn't work.

We start in the showroom. Site analysis, program development (how many bedrooms, how the household actually lives, what the long-term plan is), then schematic design, then design development, then construction documents. The finishes get specified at the same time, so when we break ground there's a finish plan, not a finish question.

The Build, Phase by Phase

From the site to the certificate of occupancy.

The work doesn't change much from project to project. The standards don't change at all.

Site analysis & program

Lot evaluation, setbacks, view corridors, drainage. Then the program: how many rooms, what scale, what the long-term plan looks like.

Schematic & design development

Working in our showroom to develop the design through plans, elevations, and 3D. Materials and finishes specified alongside the design, not after it.

Permits & engineering

Architecture, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical engineering. Permits submitted and pulled by us.

Construction

Foundation, framing, dry-in, rough-ins, drywall, finishes, and final inspections. Bill is on every job site every week.

Move-in

Punch list completed before keys are handed over, not after. The final walkthrough is a celebration, not a negotiation.
